Hey guys! Here is my new article and yes, we are one step closer to achieving a healthy lifestyle. We have heard that health is wealth and I know this proverb is cent percent true. Because if you are healthy and fit, you can do anything and achieve whatever you want. A fit person can work for long hours, can do workouts, can go out with friends, have strong connections with family and friends, etc. But if a person has poor health, he cannot do whatever he wants. He has to limit his every activity per his health and this would take out the essence of his life.

So, to stay healthy and fit today I am going to tell you about a few more things that you have to focus on.

  • Regular Check-ups

The narrative of getting a physical check-up regularly has changed over the past few years. Nowadays, many people who used to get checked by a certified physician only after being sick have developed a habit of getting a regular check-up after specific intervals. This is because the awareness about the spread of certain diseases has been made public and people are seeking advice from their physicians on how to remain healthy.

For instance, diseases like breast cancer, hepatitis, other types of cancer, diabetes, allergies, skin diseases, hearing issues, and loss of eyesight can easily be detected if a person gets regular checkups and early detection of such chronic diseases could let you get cured by proper treatment. But if you don’t do this you may end up being diagnosed with some chronicle disease and that too on an incurable stage. 

When you go to a doctor for a regular checkup, the doctor would ask about your family history, your smoking and drinking habits, your family history, and your physical activity level. This would give an insight to the doctor and he may recommend you for some screenings to eliminate the chance that you may have some disease. The result of those screenings would help the doctor to find out about some present medical issues or some future emerging medical issues.

Your lifestyle largely depends on your choices. So, my dear, you have to choose wisely what kind of life you want to live. If you want to live a happy, satisfied, and healthy life with an admirable lifestyle, you have to make your health a priority.

To live a healthy lifestyle, you have to add every single habit that increases your life span and subtract every little thing that could reduce it. So, start getting regular checkups and remain healthy.

  • Personal hygiene

In the past, people were not so conscious about their hygiene. But today, the concept of personal hygiene has been changed. People have become more conscious about their hygiene and are opting for every way to remain clean and healthy. 

Just think about a person, who gets back from work. But instead of going to the washroom to get a bath or wash his hands, he goes to the kitchen and starts eating. Imagine how much germs have been transferred from his hands to his stomach and soon these germs would make him ill.

Personal hygiene is not something that we can ignore. We have to remain very vigilant about it to stay away from many health issues like flu, gastroenteritis, cold, diarrhea, scabies, tooth decay, and COVID-19. To stay away from these diseases and many others you have to wash your body daily, floss your teeth twice a day, cleanse your hands and face after every few hours, covering your mouth and nose with a tissue while sneezing.

Your life is the most precious gift that nature gave to you. Now it is in your hands that you enjoy it to its fullest or you just waste it by living ignorantly. So, stop giving away yourself to germs and diseases as a treat. But keep yourself healthy by adopting good habits…. And my dear, that’s the key to a healthy lifestyle.

  • Be smart in the sun

Many things around you are both beneficial and harmful for us. For instance, your mobile phone is beneficial for you until you use it for a limited time. But the moment you start using it excessively it becomes harmful for your eyes and brain. The same goes for your exposure to the sun. Your body needs exposure to sun rays, to get vitamin D. But too long and too often exposure to sun rays can make you a victim of skin cancer. 

Recently the term sun smart has been getting much emphasis and the reason is the ultraviolet radiations of the sun are becoming a source of skin cancer, especially in countries like Australia. So, all around the globe people are getting sun smart by avoiding sun rays, especially during peak daytime. But if you have to go out and have no other option but to face sun rays, you can use some handy tips to keep yourself protected from harmful ultraviolet sun rays.

Here are the tips that I am sharing with you,

  1. Whenever you have to go out and face sun rays, always use plentiful sunscreen.
  2. Choose clothes that cover the majority of your body parts so that they don’t face sun rays and get harmed by them.
  3. While going out try to cover your head with a big and broad hat. This hat would give shade to your face, ears, and eyes.
  4. While waiting for a taxi, or public transport someone tries to stand in the shade of trees, buildings, or covered waiting stations. This would help you avoid unnecessary sun rays. 
  5. Always keep checking your skin and if you find any spot or change in your skin immediately consult your physician. Because it may have happened due to excessive exposure to sun rays.

In these hard times, you have to list out all those things that could make you sick and then replace them with those that could boost your health and in turn your overall lifestyle. 

From today, you have to kick out all those bad habits that I discussed in this article and then you have to replace them with healthy and conscious habits to achieve the goal of a healthy lifestyle.
